The Beginning

Welcome to The Columbia Chronicle news blog. As a journalist, I find that I am always writing a story in my mind. Whether it's at the market, in class or on the bus. I search for information like a bird searches for worms when it rains. This blog will follow my experiences with the Columbia Neighborhood of Bellingham, Wash. and feature stories of the people who live, work or play there. My name is Halee Hastad, I am a Western Washington University journalism student and I like to think of every day as just another day in the neighborhood.
